BlockedHi all 🙂
Firstly, a big thanks to Ken for getting the site up so rapidly and taking the time to update the content on a regular basis  .
Now, I was thinking again last night ( :eeek: ) 😆 , and I thought about the image of the site as it is our shopfront. Design wise, Is the site (as it is now) finished or have we got adjustments to make? If we have adjustments to make, what ones? Can we get rid of the green 😆 (had to slip that one in) 😆 , Should we nominate a person to polish it a bit, maybe take charge of the design/maintenence?Apologies if I’m jumping the gun!
Adrian 🙂

You’re thinking too much Ade. 😉
No, that was rattled up there with a bog standard template that I dug up for the CMS, it can be changed fairly rapidly and easily but I’d advise not yet. The reason is that you can get press out of a facelift.
If you charge someone to do it it will cost money and you move away from standardisation, the more you do that, the more expensive it becomes to maintain as I have so painfully discovered.
I would point out there are limited funds and it’s not something I’d regard as a priority for the moment.

I think as “front of house” it does the trick ,it gives us a vehicle with which to promote ourselves to the public .
And it gives trade members access to the forum’s in here .
The only thing I feel needs changing is the constitution etc ,Which I think is in hand .October 10, 2007 at 9:55 pm #230341iadom

I hope I haven’t broken anything but when I see an option I have to give it a go. I noticed the small icon next to recent articles on the WTA homepage, if you hover the mouse pointer over them it comes up with a box saying EDIT plus a few other options. I could not resist and found that I could indeed edit the article in question. 😯
Is this a committee member privilege, or can anyone do this, a la Wikipedia?
It was only a small edit, I changed my own name to my ‘Sunday’ name. 😉

At least you have an entry to edit Jim; I’ve been left off completely!!
Steve.
P.S. I don’t have a ‘Recent Articles’ heading anywhere on my WTA Homepage – so it must be for the use of the WTA council only.

Steve, have you registered as a member on the WTA site, I did as soon as the site went live, over a month ago.
It wasn’t listed as ‘recent articles’ it was just the latest front page news links.

Yes, it recognises me -‘Hello Steve White’ above the logout box. I joined in the first few days and just after it was confirmed on the forums that everyone, even UKW members had to re-register on the WTA site.

I forgot to tell you that Jim and Chris I gave different rights to to try it out as editor and publisher IIRC.

There you go Steve, I have now added you to the list, didn’t link to your website, I may get a smack on the wrist but if you leave the toys around, someone will have a play. 😆

KeymasterThat’s what it’s there for, try it and see if it works.
Once we have it sussed we can allow others to use it as well.

So, I thought, OK, I may have imagined registering 😳 , so I tried to register again….. Tells me the user name is in use??? Could someone please reset my password and email it to me? Username: ApplianceCareWales.
Thanks 🙂

KeymasterIve no clue what that is your talking about as I dont’ see any “recent articles”. 😕
Oh, can I spend a few quid (£40 or something) on a template for the site please? I’d like to funk it up a bit with funky menus and stuff.
