I am currently indisposed due to rolling about on the floor laughing my head off at the thought of a “respectable” Penguin.
It’s really just not on! 😉

KeymasterBodged up a solution in true engineer style for the moment.
Customer can use until replacement parts arrive. 😉

Thats all we need now is a ‘fav icon’ to finish off the site design 😉

KeymasterRe: WTA Website
Not got to the logo thing yet, I’ve not yet had the heart to open the horrid icon (.ico) editor yet. I despise the thing.
Anyway, on another note regarding the website I was trawling about (as I do) looking for a way in which we could restrict some of the articles et all to members only and, I reckon I found the ultimate cure in more ways than one.
I was actually messing with the newsletter thing, which you can see if you login now on the user menu, I just ain’t gotten that all figured out just yet. I’ll get there though.
Anway, it’s a “club” membership system that’s currently being developed for Joomla that not only restricts the content to members where desired but also handles the payments for membership as well. Now, I was thinking to myself, “damn this could save a lot of time and effort as well as make the whole affair a lot slicker and allow online automated payments”. i.e. virtually zero human intervention other than us having to set the access permissions in the forums, but then when you’ve gotten note that it’s all paid up and approved that’s a whole hell of a lot easier from an admin perspective.
So here’s the question…
Do you want me to pursue this and set it up?
Currently I am unaware of the cost. The module is a commercial license but, going on others from the same source I’d expect a cost of about £30-50 tops, so hardly expensive.
What I would like to do is contact the developers and ensure that it can be used as I think it can be as it’d save a fair bit of hassle in many ways. Doesn’t kill the admin at all, just helps. More than that though, it makes us look a a lot more professional IMO.

I’ve just been checking out the WTA website again, and I looked at the links option. There is only 4 members links there at the moment, so, I were wondering…. Does anyone have any objections to me starting a thread in the members forum inviting people to 1; register on the site if they arn’t already, and 2; once registered, submit their web details if they have any?
Adrian 🙂
