I could likely do a bit more business with Connect but there’s a few small snags…
For some spares, especially on certain brands, I find that they are prohibitively expensive. This applies to quite a few sadly and I have to go ferreting about elsewhere.
I can’t look up a part I have in stock and see the original part number so, in many cases, if it doesn’t have a Connect yellow sticker on it, I don’t know if it’s the same bit, very annoying. I know why they do it, it’s just very frustrating and unhelpful.
I would talk to my rep about these things, if I’d ever seen one or even knew who it was. The only contact I seem to have with Connect is when they want paying.
There’s more annoyances, some of them very minor but they seem not to be interested in talking to customers from my perspective as, in three or four years, I’ve not spoken to anyone there outside the accounts department.

I generally spend less than £2000 a year with them but I would have thought I was worth the odd visit now and again. I have met the rep once or twice but only because I happened to be in one of the shops he visits. He has never been to my place.
To be fair though, I do get phone calls from the sales/customer service staff in Birmingham, asking if there are any problems etc.Re: Yet another gripe at connect.

My price for the 5031682621806 is priced @ 8.20+VAT
I think there pricing policy is ridiculous.
On quite a lot of the spares they are one of the dearest suppliers around, quite a few items are a lot dearer than paying retail with the supplier direct including postage!

wash vac done the hide the part number so no one can compare prices thing, and because of that the company i was with at the time used connect, funny how things turn out aint it :rolls:

Oh yeah and we’re all that stupid that we don’t just look it up another way!
At least some suppliers don’t mess you about that way.
