hi can i ask why you didnt get the engineer to replace the heater element?

had you done so they could have been out on a recall now and you wouldnt be left with a problem.

not worked on that exact model, but if its got one of the instantaneous door locks, if theres a leak or pressure issue, it can give impression of not locking, when it has in fact locked and then unlocked… instantly…

the reason why its going to 0 is because the first part of any programme is a component self test cycle. this can take less than a couple of seconds so when everything is ok, u would never know it happens. however, it might be the element failing has stuffed up another part like a thermostat etc, which is now being flagged up on the self test. or it might have done something to an electrical component on the board.

this model does have an engineers diagnostic system to allow compentent persons access to the more major error codes. just because it hasnt shown you an error code, doesnt mean the problem hasnt got one, it might be worth reinvesting in the engineer who diagnosed your element failure to come out again, obv assuming he has relevant experience of zanussi diagnostics 🙂

PS its also worth a check that the plastic floating ball hasnt been lost (i,e taken out and not put back in) if the rubber sump hose has been disconnected.

    Hi
    thanks for the reply

there was a brand new heating element put in 2 weeks ago, it worked
fine until it just stopped halfway through the program.

the ball is still in there
