Thanks for the explanation. Washer/dryers rubbish or indesit rubbish? Am I likely to have less problems if I bought a seperate dryer? I bought a temp sensor initially (£15) and now I need to spend £11+p&p. I don’t want to keep spending on it if its crap. Maybe just keep it as washing machine and put a new dryer in garage. What dryers would you recomend?

Thanks for the advice. I’m used to testing live as I’m an electrician. I only bypassed it to confirm that it wasn’t working I have’nt left it like that. The plastic piece from the back of the drum to the heater box is the condensor? How does it work exactly? I ask because when I took it out the fluff had built up at the top (from the water inlet up). I assume that when the dryer cycle starts it washes down the bottom section with a burst of water. Does the metal grid at the bottom stop fluff coming up from the drum or down from the heater box?

    Thanks for the prompt reply!
