I nodded off myself last sunday (too much blackstuff)

If Schumacher did this it would keep me awake more often maybe?

Just a thought here for you to try. First set machine knob not onto a programme but on the black dot. Push and hold the start button for 3 seconds and release. Put in on to a rinse and spin cyle and let me know the turn of events OK?

You’re a fine fellow, I thought I was right in that it was Bosch. 2 angled tags…thats the ones. cheers

    Re: Cold fill W/D

Some Bosch machines are cold fill as well as the cheap Neff machines from Moben, Magnet etc.

But all makes of machines can be used as cold fill only using a Y connector.

as eastlmark says it is the module not set up correctly with the right eprom. There are 2 or 3 differing ones for that model (you cross reference with the machine serial number)

A fine line indeed but that doesnt excuse Merloni with who I have an account for not giving me the info I needed.

I will be more cautious over advice direct to my customers from now on though.

    Thanks again kwatt

    Jeeeeees!

I am pleased I read this and thanks kwatt. I give advice on the phone all the while.

I wonder how they could prove it though as its not in black and white so to speak (pardon the pun)

    Hi,

I would think this is purely and simply propanda brought about by certain manufacturers unwilling or more likely unable to offer advise over the phone. My experience in getting technical info from Merloni recently bears this out.

All I wanted them to tell me is about identifying which module fits what and does it need an eprom. Joining your site recently answered that for me (thanks) and those at Merloni are only interested in sending out one of their ‘ comic toolbox carriers’

I give advice to my customers on the phone all the time “Don’t ever call Merloni”

I am sure it is a Bosch motor not CESET (the washvac bin no. did’nt work)
Can I send you a picture of the old ones?

They are just Carbons on springs with a tag on the end that looks like 2 spade terminals.

    Hi

No, I know about the relay pins, in fact it is a better job if you solder a wire link across the relay terminals as the pcb is not man enough to cope from each terminal.

In my case it is the tranny that has blown away from the relay trouble. As you look green side at the pcb it is in the lhand corner. Just blown up!

Why? Has anyone had That problem I was wondering.?

    Re: Bosch diswasher showing “F”

    Hi

I dont know if this subject is too old now but I had a bosch dishwasher last week where a transistor had blown on the pcb. Usually it has problems with the heater relay tags burning out as someone mentioned earlier. Sometimes that takes out the chip. But in this case the relay is fine and I figure all it needs is a new relay, maybe.

I was wondering if anybody had a similar problem ?

Yes I am just feeling my way about. It seems a good site with loads of info. I figured a way to change my picture image I hope that is ok. I notice you have an animated one. I have animations too but not sure if I could use it here though. Maybe you could let me know sometime

    Thanks for the greetings Dave!

actually I have checked your connect no. on their site and that is the AEG type that includes the black holders.(not what I have here) These are more like Bosch brushes with tails that slot into the end of the holder?
