    Well, it’s fixed- thanks very much for the info!

    Now I’m an expert I can go & fix the toaster. Apparently it needs an ‘elephant’ or something.

    Also, how d’you get to the control module? Is it just a case of taking off the cover at the top/front?

    Hi there- I have a GB/01 with similar symptoms, nice to know I’m not alone (if you know what I mean…)

    Freezer has been getting more and more inefficient over the past couple of months; it kind of oscillates between freezing and not freezing, the cycle taking a few days. Altering the control to v. cold has made no difference. I switched it off & back on and the motor started up once. Not done it since so maybe I need to leave it off for a bit…

    Does it sound like the mod as mentioned above will fix this?
