Re: Smeg DI612C won’t start final cycle
Wanted to post a quick thanks to Penguin45. In the end, having disconnected the solenoid (which made no difference) and bypassed the mains suppressor (which made no difference), I bit the bullet and bought a new PCB.
So far, everything is working as it’s supposed to 🙂
Now that it’s working again, it seems to me that it was failing at the point where rinse aid is released into the cycle. So perhaps either the solenoid is dodgy and will cause the new PCB to fail at some point; or it was simply that an electronic component in the PCB function to control the solenoid had failed.
