Well, there does seem to be a contant motor-type noise, though every few days I notice when the noise seems to cut out, though how often this happens, I don’t know. Also, lately, every now and then the appliance has been making strange loud, intermittent ‘cracking’ or ‘popping’-type noises. I don’t know if this is a symptom of anything?

I think the model number is CGA9756FF. Stupid question but how do I check if the compressor is working (without dismantling anything!)?

I have also been having similar overheating problems with the temperature of my BEKO fridge freezer with the temperature now constantly over 9 degrees. I am not keen on attempting any DIY remedies so asked an engineer to examine the fridge. The engineer’s assessment was that it was possibly a blockage (but he did not say of what)or a probably the PCB.
I am a bit sceptical about whether it really can be the PCB and was wondering what the real cause could be? Having read about other people’s fridge issues, I was expecting it to be a problem with the compressor or other mechanical part. I am reluctant to pay for a new PCB if it is not really going to solve the problem. Can anyone help?
