ParticipantHello again, my husband came back and did some investigating. He got fault code “51”, then tracked it to a relay. Took it out, using an ohmmeter he tried to test the relay by checking for continuity on the solenoid coil, but it didn’t seem to have any. But registered as having some resistance.
How do we know if the relay needs to be replaced please?

ParticipantYes, I keep trying it a few times a day.
It never fills, just makes a noise. No more water inside it.Abigail Curtin
ParticipantThankyou for the Manuel, I’m starting to have a read.
I pulled it out, managed to tilt it about 40 degrees back (using my childs protractor), and small amount of water started pooling.
Do you have advice on the next step please?
From the Manuel, there are 2 inlet valves for safety. If one fails, other closes. If there is a leak in the intake hose, the float switch will operate from the drip tray. But that doesn’t explain why I can still hear the noises of it attempting to work. Once valve(s) shut off, wouldn’t the machine know to stop operating?
For the first operation of the machine, it fills up with mains water until a certain quantity of water has been achieved (water sensor, or other method if needed). Then (I’ve not read anymore) wouldn’t it then do a first cycle to rinse dishes with cold water. Then pump it way. So unlikely the pump, as the machine didn’t even get a chance to fill up yet?

ParticipantI have included a photo for your enjoyment, but no fault codes 🙂

ParticipantHi Dave, thank you so much for your help.
No fault code as 2009 is too old 🙂
The Manuel says “Technical fault”.I have turn it off and on again lots of times and tried it. I’ve cleaned the filter, take an off the non-returned valve (it looks ok), and gently turn the propeller to the drain valve.
I have noticed that when I’ve tried to turn it on, although it’s still doesn’t work, it sounds worse. Before it sounded like it was trying to, I just never heard the swooshing noises of it filling up all the water spraying out. Now the attempted to start noise sounds even quieter and worse than before.
Does this mean it’s something to do with a dream pump??
Adele it’s the water inlet blocked because I feel like I used to be able to hear some water coming in. Although I don’t hear that now.
