Re: Indesit W123 stuck in cycle

    OK thanks.
Seen module for £120 which is almost half what my wife paid for it 8 years ago (probably therefore have had moneys worth out of it).
Also found someone (QER) who will repair module for £43 plus P&P, with 75{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} success rate claimed.
This seems worth a shot given the price of a new Bosch or ISE.
Any thoughts on PCB repairs welcome.
    Thanks Again
    Andrew

Hi I have exactly the same fault, which developed in the same way. I ticked off all the other checks in your posts.
Is it the timer or the module that I require as a spare part? (heres hoping its the cheaper timer)
I can only see the timer unit for sale on the spare parts section? – here.
    http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/Washing+ … ector.html
    Is the module still available?
    model number indesit W123UK BG
    serial number 210251732
I can get the part number off the module or timer if required.
    Many thanks in advance

Re: Bosch Fan Oven Trips RCD

    Thanks for the advice.
If it helps anyone else heres what i did and found.
Powered off and removed back panel.
Borrowed PAT tester (Not Megger tester) and insulation tested (500V) fan element and fan motor spearately. Both passed.

Removed both parts. NOTE The fan on the front is a left hand thread (I didn’t have the new part or know this when i tried to remove it) hence i managed to lock the fan to the shaft which then just rotated relative to any part i could could get hold of. Cut the shaft in half at the rear with a junior hacksaw to release.

Decided to replaced fan motor first. Replaced with a new fan motor assembly (bought from UKWG) and refitted old element. Oven works perfectly. I ordered a element at the same time as a backup.

I must conclude that the element gets significantly hotter than it should without the fan, causing element coil to move and trip RCD. RCD protects element from total destruction. Once element cools insulation is restored hence passes PAT insulation test.

Also worth noting I priced parts (Fan mtor and element) from UKWG (~£75) and direct from Bosch parts (~£140). Element i undersatnd is pattern part but motor is same supplier Bosch use. Good saving.

    Thanks for your hekp

    Re: ISE CD60W Tumble Dryer

Thanks. Will wait to see the specification and price on the vented ISE dryer before making a decision.
