    Thank you for the advice. My tumble dryer is getting through the whole cycle.

    There were a couple of extra connectors on the relay supplied. The extra one on the side being used for switching does not seem to go live during the on/off cycle according to my tester, so I left it uncovered.

    Might have a go at swoping the door round now.

    Once the drier cuts out, it takes several minutes to “reset”

    Thank you for pointing me at the start relay. Visual inspection after removal does not show any signs of distress. Is it worth energising the coil and seeing if the contact holds?

    I guess Crusader reduced the height of the machine because its an awkward thing to get out.

    Took photos of the leads when still in place.
