ParticipantRe: Bosch SPS6462GB/06 dishwasher
Thanks electrofix, I partially dismantled the unit and wondered if the pump motor capacitor was leaking to earth so removed it from its bracket, insulated it’s case and ran the machine from another socket.
Ran fine right up to the very moment it switches itself off, then it puts the ELCB out!
Seems like the whole top case hinges back giving access to all that is beneath but I am reluctant to do this as it would appear to disturb some large gaskets/seals, and at present it doesn’t leak.
Got to be something simple, a circuit diagram/schematic/service manual would be worth its weight in gold – any ideas where from?Alan

Thanks for reply Dave, will give the socket suggestion a try.
When it has set the ELCB off upon resetting it, it will immediately trigger again and I could measure low resistance to earth (although I can’t remember what!)
Another socket and ready with the meter I think!Alan

Heater arrived and I was most impressed at the build of the Bosch.
Heater came out OK but I was amazed at the amount of scale surrounding the element (causing localised over heating and the failure) Hopefully when I give it a test run the majority of this will be pumped out.
Would it be a good idea to run a descaler through it or is that likely to cause more problems?Alan

Thanks for that, our previous m/c’s have been accessible from the rear so have been quite get attable.
Heater on order!Alan

Thanks for your quick response. Sorry! It’s WF 02867GB/17 but how does the front come off?
So far I have done my metering from underneath and was hoping to withdraw the heater but now realise that it is quite long!Alan
