Sound advice, I’m sure, and thanks for explaining the internal layout.

I am sorry, iadiom, I didn’t have the appliance right here for the details you ask, and was quoting from memory. I have at least found the original receipt; the model number is correct but I was wrong about the purchase date, 25 March 2017. Hopefully it was at least a current model then, and not already discontinued.

I’ve been on to Indesit and they have several optional plans with and without extended warranty to consider. At least their call-out is more reasonable than an independent repairer I’ve used. Yes, I think that’s the way forward.
