ParticipantHi Dave,
I have opened up the oven to see the boards, but not not sure if/which parts match the one from the other post. The main power board seems to be ELP755, and there are some other boards. I couldn’t see any visual faults anywhere.
Here are some images: https://imgur.com/a/lvLcslE
Do you have any recommendations? Not sure what to do and don’t want to waste money on parts that might not fix the issue, so I might have to look at a replacement oven.
Many thanks.

ParticipantThanks. That post is a different fault, but are you suggesting it could just be the same part on the board that is faulty?
It’s not something I’ve done before, but maybe this weekend I can try to get access to the board to have a look. I’ll post some photos if you think that would help?
Would hope the oven is still salvageable, but not really sure how to sort it at the moment!
Thanks for the manual. That’s the one I have which is mostly focused on cooking programmes, but there was another one there that looks like it could be the one. Cheers.
Thanks for your help Dave.

ParticipantThanks Dave. Do you think the control board is definitely the issue?
I’m not sure what to look for, but did a quick search and it seems Miele boards are in the several hundreds of pounds.
I could ask a guy to come round, but if that’s the issue, looks like I’ll have to think about getting a new one.
thanks.

ParticipantHi Dave, thanks. Not sure if you posted a link or something, but I can’t see it? The only instruction manual I’ve been left by the previous owners is about automatic cooking programs and mentions a few different models on the back.
I did a test today with a thermometer and this is what I found:
Initially the oven did heat up. I set it to 180°C and although there was a lag, the thermometer in the middle of the oven did reach 180 about 5-10 mins after the oven said the temp was reached. I then checked every 10 mins and it stayed at 180 for about 30 mins and then these are the readings after that:
150, 132, 118, 105, 95, 88, 80. All this time the reading on the front was 180°. At this point I turned it off for 20 seconds. When I turned it back on, the front reading was now 76°.
Again I set it to 180° and these are the readings for the thermometer inside and the display on the front:
Inside: 72 / Front: 123
I: 69 / F: 146
I: 62 / F: 159
I: 60. / F: 166
I: 55 / F: 174Clearly there is something wrong as the oven was getting cooler, but the front reading was going up.
Does this mean it’s a thermostat problem?
Thanks for your help!

ParticipantThanks Dave. I have checked and there is a constant stream of air coming from above the handle, which I assume must be coming from the cooling fan. So do you think that could still be the issue?
It is confusing as it heats up, but then after that will only heat very slowly. I am going to check with a thermometer to see if the temperature is accurate.
Any advice appreciated! Thanks.
