    Update.
Electrician confirms supply is ok. Candy engineer coming next Tuesday. I told them the fault code when calling but I bet the engineer picks up on it.

Meantime been looking at what’s available if we do have to replace. Bosch do one that simply plugs into a 13amp socket. This is rated at 2.9kW. They also have one that seems identical but is 4.6kW and would obviously not be 13 amp.

Ok – I realise that one is more powerful but what would this mean in practical terms? Presumably they both do the same job, both heat pans in the same way. Would one be quicker? If not why pay a higher purchase price and have the added complication of dedicated wiring? Don’t expect to have to replace but having seen this am just interested in the difference.

If it was a board fault would it only affect one appliance?

Fails immediately you power it up. Then keeps showing the fault code until you cut power again
