ParticipantRe: BOSCH WAS32466 Washing Machine tripping electrics out
Martin you are a star. I have just watched a video on you tube which shows how to change them on a Bosch machine http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_r8d93xPYw&feature=kp and I can do that!
If I buy them from the shop here http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/12bs07-w … on-brushes for £9.38 – you just saved me a fortune.
Thank you so much for your help – of course if you are wrong !!!! LOL
Many thanks

Thanks Martin, Any idea what sort of money will this cost? As its an older machine is it worth it spending the money on it or buy a new machine. Costco have a Maytag MWA10149 for £480 with a 10 year guarantee – problem is I cannot find any reviews of it to know whether it is a reliable machine producing decent results.

ParticipantRe: Which Vacuum Cleaner?
Hi guys thanks for the advice, I shall update you on the saga eventually once we’re sorted. Although I can see us heading for a Miele upright now but I’m not certain yet!
Don’t get the Miele upright, I’m very disappointed with mine as their is a design fault with the underside. I have returned 4 times for repair and whilst their service is outstanding the machine has just failed again. In less than six months ownership. I’m approaching Miele for a refund and hope to buy a Sebo. The Miele is great when it works but I’m sick of sending it back every month

ParticipantRe: Bosch WTS 84507 GB/03 drum jammed and belt snapped !
Thanks…. I can see the motor releases to allow you to get the belt round it but I am not confident to take the drum off as I would not know whether to do this from the front or the back!.
Bosch were meant to come out on Tuesday but failed to bring the part even though it was in stock and then said they would have to rebook a week later which is no use as I am away and needed the dryer before I go!!!!!
If I could get an ISE machine by Friday I would buy one and tell Bosch where to stick it to be honest
Thanks for that though

ParticipantRe: Bosch WTS 84507 GB/03 drum jammed and belt snapped !
Have taken the sides off the machine and the belt has snapped.
I can see its a 7PH1965 that I need but I have no idea how I get a new one round the drum!
Do I stop now and call a service agent or is it something that some patience, time and advice can talk me through..
Any help would be very much appreciated as about to go on holiday and need the dryer working before I go!!!
Thanks

ParticipantRe: Admiral/Whirlpool Fridge Freezer design fault ???
Thanks for the response. Interestingly the engineer has been out and repaired it but during the process it has come to light that the heating element you talk about was not connected from new to a power supply and this has led to the problem. I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt as he showed me what was wrong and then connected it all up.
Should it happen again I will report back

ParticipantRe: Bosch American Fridge Freezer problem – help & advic
Never got round to the repair as things improved but just come back from holiday and I think it really is on its last legs. Fridge temp is getting dicky and freezer is frosting up badly so I am considering the folowing
Admiral GC2027HXKW at a blinding £559 but it only has two drawers in fridge and I would prefer three
Admiral SAX224GB – full stainless steel at £1099.99 – cant find picture of inside so any help here would be appreciated as I need to find out if it has three drawers. This is my favourite if it has the 3 drawers in the fridge
Also aware that Admiral are pulling out of making Fridge Freezers but they are rebadged Maytags anyway.
Very unsure about an Amana AC2228HEKB in white – this is locally on Ebay and slightly dented but very well equiped and easy for me to collect. Just not sure about Amana – I know they are part of Maytag but has anyone got any direct experience of them?
The problem is the Buying Guide has not been updated for a few years and the Admiral models they suggest are no longer available so any input on the current American Fridge Freezers would be most welcome.
Many thanks in advance

Greg – thanks for the sound advice – I will get someone in to check it out as you are right – £65 plus repair has to be cheaper than £850 for a new one…. Will let you know how I get on but it will have to wait till I get back from holiday so will repost once I am back at the end of september.
Many thanks

Or what would you reckon is a fair price to have an engineer come fix it. Bosch have quoted their normal £65 odd for the first 30 minutes then £4 per 6 minutes there after plus parts….. If you think its a decent piece of kit then I will have it repaired and keep it

ParticipantRe: Quiet washing machine
I recently bought a Bosch WAS 32466 which is the same model but with an even higher spin speed. I previously had a WFP3300 which was the then top of the range machine.
The new model is noisier without doubt. The old machine was ridiculously quiet. However, its only in the spin cycle that you really notice any noise from the machine and once it has achieved the final spin speed its generally quiet.
During the wash cycles the loudest sound is that of the water running in so it really is no bother at all. Im very happy with the performance of the machine and it feels well built.
