I am unable to start the lights in the hood, so is it a safe bet to assume that the motor isnt dead and its likely to be the switch that has broken?

Are Electrolux parts known to go wrong often? Would it be a better idea to buy a better quality product instead?

Do your repair affiliates charge the same prices as those charged by you for spares?

THanks. Would this require a drain pump replacement?

I have arranged for a UKW approved repairrer to call tomorrow. How much should I expect to pay for a new pump. Is the broken pump problem a recurring one? How long should one expect a pump to last under reasonable use in London (very hard water).

Any long term precautions that might prevent this?

I cant seem to find an enr but the machine is a Bosch Logixx Wash and Dry one, about 4 years old.
