Yep quite simple the lack of ventilation has caused the cooling system to overheat & fail regas is required.

had the same problem with C dryer, found that if its a timer controled dryer, I found that sometimes the drum on reverse does no start rotating again, took me a while to find this out myself, if the drum does not start rotating again the heater stays on and causes the limiter to go out,
leave the dryer going with washing in for about 30 mins, if it does this it is a known timer fault.

agree check tacho motor coil, remove coil dont cut wires, check to see if small magnet is still in place, these buggers can unscrew.

On the left side of the machine have you checked the mixer intake chamber & the hose that comes from the mixer chamber & goes to the sump of the machine, need to take door front panel & kick plates off at bottom, both parts mixer chamber & hose can get blocked up,
mixer unit has a red float on right if this gets blocked and the hose gets blocked to, the machine will start to fill & then start to drain & start to wash, you can hear the inlet valve turning on & off, remove both parts and clean properly, remove only the chamber end that the sump hose goes into by the red float, any help let me know.

does the machine have a long black motor about 18 inch long if it does there is a capacitor bottom right side of the machine, you will need to swing open the front of the machine there are 3 screws around by the door seal & 2 around by the soap box & one clip behind the filter flap door
just pull the whole front open, down the bottom right there should be a capacitor about 6 to 7 inchs long silver in colour, cant remember what uf it is (left Miele about 10 years ago) replace that first, let me know
