success at last!!!
took mindy’s advise but to no avail. Resorted to going to the chemist and getting a syringe. I simply split the connector at the bottom of the fridge behind the plinth and drew out the contents and then pumped warm water into it and kept plunging it and eventually the blockage gave way and blew out at the dispensing end.
I then reattached the connector and then the water came through!!
Thanks to all for your help!!

how do I go about stripping down door? I have had the panel off but cant seem to get any further. I see that there is an under panel access in the freezer compartment in which there is a white box.
I just can’t seem to get the time to switch it off for a few days via defrost method.
Many thanks

It can be frozen there although I’ve come across the pipe running up the inside of the freezer door being frozen. There’s a connection behind the plinth that can be split and you can check if there’s water getting to that point. If there is, it’s frozen in the door, if not it’s either frozen in the fridge or the inlet valve isn’t opening.

I have now discovered that when you disattach the split connector and activate the water dispenser that water will come through to this point. I can onyl presume that it is now frozen in the door. Is there anything I can do to further inspect this. I have tried inserting garden wire in hope of clearing any blockage. This has been unsucessful.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks to Bazza and Dented Porsche for your advice. I checked under the plinth and split the connector, no water therefore I can assume the coil has a freeze in it. Discovered that my wife had turned over the veg compartment to cooler. I.e: Meat ( the little opening which makes that area colder). I have also increased the fridge temperature to 6 deg C. I cannot defrost the fridge at present since there is a lot of content in it.
I am hoping that it will clear with this action. Will post back. Failing that I will have to go down the defrost route.

similar to another problem re water dispenser posted on this forum.
My water dispenser stopped working today and have checked the filter and replaced, but still no water. Can’t really hear if anything sounds different.
I have a Whirlpool side by side model no:FRBB36AF20/2
8586 158 15000
11 0422 029254Is this connected to the water intake being so cold at this time of year.
I look forward to any responses which may put my mind at ease.
