The LG machines have had vibration faults after the first production range. There are numerous modifications that LG advise the engineers to carry out, which are :

Change the front and top counterweight (the concrete blocks).
    Change the feet.
    Change the suspension legs.
Advise customer to put machine onto a concrete base.

None that I have done has worked whole heartedly,The noise you are hearing is that of an unbalanced load.Try to put a smaller load in and mix large items with small items which will even out the load.

    Thanks for the reply.
It only has a couple of small weights on the front, none on top. Are the replacement ones larger?

Is that the usual problem (noises with an unbalanced load), or is it more usually excessive vibration during spin?

Are there still some problems with machines on a concrete base, or do they work fine?

The spin is fine and I don’t want to mess that up. Do you think it is worth getting it seen to whilst under guarantee still, and is it likely to cause damage if left?

Bonding the feet to the floor wont help,In fact it may make it worse.

I’ve bonded the laminate flooring to the concrete floor below (not the feet). I would have removed a section under the machine but don’t think my landlord would be too happy.

Personally it is a design fault but to get LG to admit it then thats a different story,Its been an on going battle for the past 5 plus years.

Do you think it has insufficient damping, or because the suspension is attached to the plastic base?
