Hi Bryan,

Just got back off holiday so fitted the heater yesterday, fridge sorted and wife happy! Your advice and support was greatly appreciated as the checks all suggested to me that the fridge was finally dead.

Hi Both,

Thanks for coming back to me. I have connected the fridge to an external RCD to save the house. If i unplug the the defrost heater (middle plug) on the fridge it does not trip out. However it doesn’t fire up either (which I would have expected it to do). I have tested both the main heater and the drain heater, both with expected resistances and neither short to ground. With the heater disconnected the display lights the top right vertical segments and they constantly flash. I am starting to think its the compressor? Does this info help with further diagnosis?
