    Re: BOSCH WAE2446BGB/10 Drum Bearings

    Hi Dave,

Yes, sorry for that. When I posted it on Google Chrome it returned an error so I tried again on IE not realising it had already posted.

Ok, just checked the drum. If i grab it from the bottom and wiggle it backwards and forwards, there is definitely movement on the bearings i.e the drum can be felt and heard moving. I then pushed the drum at the top and again you can feel the drum moving, not much but there is definite movement both backwards and forwards and up and down. All right, not very scientific and as you say, probably needs a stip down to check whats going on.

Is this a machine that is worth resurrecting? Is it a german or spanish made machine. I remember paying upwards of £500 for it nearly 10 years ago in the hope it was a German machine.

Would we be better cutting our loses, and looking at an LG or Hoover machine in its place? The place we can purchase washing machines only sell Hotpoint, Beko, LG & Hoover Machines. I’m not counting the Russell Hobbs or White Knight Machines in this list.
