Another possible cause also could be that the duct from the freezer is full of ice and not allowing cold air to be drawn up.Try defrosting for 24 hrs and turn back on.

Re: after 30 years it just had to happen

This sort of thing makes me so angry! 👿 If there was a problem why the hell didn’t they just come to you and let you have a look in the first place….. why…. because as someone wrote before they prob, caused the damage themselves and are looking for someone to blame it on . I would go CAB i think they do a free half hour with a solicitor. Also yes it would be very easy to go to your insurers but as you say , why should YOU loose your 30years no claims?! Have you spoken to the builder or the claimant? Ask for the hose … bet they’ve binned it because it had mice teeth marks on it or the crip was gone on something !!! BA***RDS 👿

:rotfl: haha ok thaught it was strange that you seemed to know so much about it . Also i would’nt change the whole heater its just a micro switch which you can test with a meter I’m sure . I know you know but i have too say it because i on a public forum but don’t forgett to switch off the power! lol :eeek: also you said it had water still left in the bottom how much? i know you prob. know but it will always be full of water under the filter. Let me know how you get on .
