    Hi Guys,

Many thanks for all the feedback and assistance, what a great service you provide. Have lost faith in the machine, I agree it is probably the main pump motor, but it could be something else as well. Fortunately for us we have been offered a second hand machine from a relative and we will see how that goes.

Keep up the good work 😀

    Thanks guys,

I have tried just leaving the machine, for some time on a wash cycle, it fills up, then just sits there doing nothing -appart from the strange noise from the main pump / motor. The control panel lights seem to operate as they should, indicating the correct programme has started for the option selected.

I am tempted to think that my machine’s days are numbered – not least because lack of working machine is causing increasing grief to domestic goddess

Unfortunately no the main wash pump seems to work for a second or to just sort of makes stuttery noises, the shaft rotates freely, the water fills but does not drain either. Is it possible that both pumps are blocked, getting to the impellor chambers is not the easiest job, unless I turn the whole thing on its side. I am a little reluctant to commit to an enginner if it is terminal or “beyond economc repair”

Thanks for the feed back, the undertray was flooded, is not now; I think that the main filter got blocked on its last wash which may have caused a leak. Is there likely to be anything else that could be reset?
