Called Miele to get an engineer and this will cost £111 inc VAT including 1 hour of labour. As I have never called anyone out to repair anything this does not seem too bad. Obviously I have to pay for parts so it is starting to look pricey. Having said that I have previously thrown away Hotpoint and Bendix dryers as the repair was more than I paid for the dryer. I think if I pay £300 pounds and it lasts for another 6 years I think I had had my moneys worth?
