I am about to buy a new washer. Can you recommend any good brand? And what to avoid…

    I have used a multimeter before… that’s all!

    Thanks Martin.

Reading around seems first thing to check in such cases is the door lock as you said.
The door makes the usual “SNAP” sound and is firmly closed.
    Still, washer won’t lock it.

Anything I can check with a multimeter?

Well after the disappointing Nikkei support experience I decided to call the Beko support.
They sent me to one of their shops where they actually help you.
They don’t tell you “get a new washer” or “get a new engine”, NIKKEI style.

Got a new tacho coil from one of their motors for ten euro plus learnt even more about it.

My next washer is going to be a Beko.
To be clear, I am not the person who bought this Nikkei crap!

What’s wrong with crap? :eeek: πŸ˜†

You should crap the word Nikkei too :rotfl:

😳 I am really out of my depth here

    Nice!
You read the numbers near the arrow right? So in my case that 0-arrow-8 only means 2008.
Clock like numbers are the months… ouch. Now it dawns on me.

On the engine there is written Arçelik.
I understand here beko is one of its brands

I have found this one on ebay
    http://www.ebay.it/itm/BEKO-Washing-Mac … e56&_uhb=1

It looks like mine but the arrows are pointing to different numbers.
On one side of my tacho there is an arrow pointing to “1”.
On the other side of my tacho there is an arrow pointing to “11” with 0 and 8 on each side of the arrow.

I am afraid that turning on my washer with a tacho with different numbers, my washer might become an UFO unidentified flying object πŸ˜† πŸ˜† πŸ˜†

I have no clue what those numbers mean.

It was a waste of petrol going there.
He said a new engine is euro 110 (that’s half price of this crappy washer I bet)
He said they don’t have ANY washer that you can buy a tacho coil alone, no matter the brand.
He said you can’t even buy new brushes LMAO.
I rented a house here in Perugia for a couple of months only, if I can’t find this spare part some other way soon I will just use a laundry.

There is written “ELTEK” on the tacho coil, I’ll check that out.
I am really grateful to you for all the help you have given me but I am afraid this story does not have an happy ending.

I have been told on the phone I have to change the complete motor.
I am going this afternoon to talk to their technical guy first.

If I am told the same should I try a tacho coil from another company that looks the same?

    What makes you think so?
I got readings from the other circuits very similar to the ones he is getting
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5Aw7CBEGPI#t=02m34s

I only get “1” (which basically means, not working) on the tacho coil circuit.

NIKKEI’s website is a JOKE! :eeek: :eeek: :eeek:
    http://www.nikkei-italia.it/

It is only a picture of a website.
    Links, forms, NOTHING works.
AVOID this company at all costs! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL

    I had to push harder…

Tried again with multimeter, still showing “1”.

I will let you know when I mount the new one, hopefully you are about to get rid of me πŸ˜† πŸ˜† πŸ˜†

OK I see what you mean now, it’s on top in this picture http://www.ransomspares.co.uk/MyFiles/I … 202601.jpg

I pushed it so often now that it stays flat against the spade after releasing it (or it came off, dunno which of the two).
The whole thing is still stuck in there though.

I can see two little wings on the sides in the picture :eeek:
I can’t even see them, there is plastic all around in the middle…

I can’t believe I need MacGyver here for something this stupid

Sorry Martin, my English is failing me here.
I don’t understand what you mean by “tab”. πŸ™

Should what I call “tooth” come out too?
I am pushing from the tooth towards the cable…

Re: Nikkei Nk Lb65E09 misworking with pictures and videos

    Thanks!

No matter what ohms setting I use (2M, 200k, 20k, 2k, 200) tacho coil circuit always returns “1” whereas the other circuits return either 0 or anything below 1.

    From what I understand:
1 = max resistance = open circuit eg. probes touch nothing)
0 = min resistance = closed circuit eg. probes touch each other (might be near 0)

There is definitely something wrong with it and I will buy a replacement (I have to find out from where first)

I was worried I would have to change motor or pcb but I read around tacho coil is very cheap, so I am πŸ™‚

I hope there is nothing else broken of course, but that would be really bad luck!
    I will keep you updated!

    Hi Martin,
    Which one do you mean?
    2M,200k,20k,2k?
