Re: do you have a dead period?

I thought it was just me. Between January and Easter approx 41 jobs a week. Between Easter and This week only 33 on average. That’s a big shock to the system for us. As a rule 8 jobs a day is the norm and all this week 6 a day. The 4 day weeks seem to have really been quiet this year. Onwards and upwards hopefully things pick up and go back to normal!

Yep under warranty but wouldn’t wait 7 days for a repair visit, was lovely to work on a dryer with no fluff or dust. Pulley was ruined, used 3/4 times a week since November.

Re: Whirlpool to do a recall on Hotpoint dryers

Has anyone had the joy of fitting the replacement back panels yet? I have been offered to take on some of these to repair in our area, and wanted to see the difference in rear panels new to old! I fitted a idler pulley on a 3 month old hotpoint dryer earlier this week, and in all honesty couldn’t see any difference in design, a new rear felt yes, a new heater design to what I’m used to seeing also, but nothing that’s stands out on the rear panel?!

This is surely a machine with a sprung motor that you crank over and release once the belts over the pulley?
