I have visually checked it, and also tried to simulate a closed door by flicking the switch uinside the handle, but still no response.

A very small amount of water came out, but was a minimal amount. Of course the appliance was off and unplugged at the time.
Will try and locate leak source at the weekend, are there any obvious places I should investigate. And same for locating the problem!
From an experienced point of view, do you think its feasible to get a callout/replacement parts, or is it viable to scrap it and buy a new one.
