Hi, when I mentioned there was very minor frosting over some parts of the evaporator that was looking at it with the backplate removed.

Tony R wrote:I would firstly check for any frost build up in the freezer, the issue does not sound like a sensor issue, and both sensor replacements for the freezer air and evaporator are identical, assuming the one bought already is the kit type replacement with crimps and a box. Also check the freezer fan operates, close the door and you should see it slowing down by opening the door and quickly looking at the blades in top centre of rear wall panel.

Tony R – There was a little frost build up but not much at all. I’ll check the fan, although the last time I had a look I could hear what sounded like the fan running until I opened the door then it stops as normal, but it’s definitely not running all the time.

The kit is the proper one with the crimp connectors and box.

I have felt the compressor and it’s pretty warm but not what I would call hot.

    Yes makes sense. Thanks

tubafan, if that was the case wouldn’t the fridge not go to temperature too?

    Thanks

Thanks for the response, I didn’t realise Miele had done that.

I have found the number for the Freezer thermostat as it’s a Liebherr part anyway and ordered that from Ebay, just need the Evaporator number and then I can see if one of those is on Ebay too.

    Cheers
