    had both paddles out and look fine, certainly no bloackages when running under the tap. I guess I just fit a new thermostat and see what happens.

    yes they seem to be rotating fine and lots of water flying about when you open the door whilst running. Could it be the control system not turning the heating element off at the correct temp which makes it get too hot and blow the other fuse?

    Just checked, feed pipe to top rotating arm is definitely full of moving water when running. I guess your thinking if there is not enough water it could overheat easily.

    Thanks Bryan, there is definetly plenty of water when in cycle, certainly enough to cover the heating element does that sound ok?
