ParticipantRe: Whirlpool AWZ3303
Hi,
I’ve had the back off and took some pictures and a video which can be seen here.
I moved the drum by hand and it then started moving on its own until the motor stopped and tried to spin the drum in reverse. Then it seemed to seize up again. The video shows the motor trying to move the drum in reverse and then forward again.
All the wheels that the drum sits on move freely and the belt it tight on the drum.
Any ideas?
Ben

You’d have to look see but those are the primary suspects.

Thanks I’ll take a look.
I should have mentioned that the drum does not turn any more.

ParticipantRe: FF Recommendation
Just seen the MIELE KD1450S, its a tad smaller in the freezer than the hotpoint and £15 over the top of the budget. But I have heard that they are good. Any one got any exp of this model?

Bryan,
Actually there is ‘snow’ at the back of the fridge. What cat i look for at the rear of the fridge?

Thanks for that, but i find it hard to belive that the compressor/pump should be running 24×7 and the noise has started only in the last few weeks.
