    Hi

    Thanks for your reply.

I put it on spin empty and there was no banging so looks like its a suspension issue.

When looking at the motor would it be worth doing the brushes while I’m there? I estimate the machine has done about 1100 cycles on the original brushes.

    sat morning update,

had another go at getting the spider off with no success. It moved about 2cm but now is jammed solid. *waves white flag*

i’ve just ordered a Bosch WAE28162G, should be here Thursday.

Again thanks to those who replied.

    Cheers
    Colin.

    hi again

cheers for the replies and the advice.

I’m currently trying to get the spyder off but it’s proving to be a PITA. It has moved a bit but then it doesn’t want to come anymore.

Even if i do manage to get it off I imagine puting on a new one and lining it up perfectly is gonna be even harder.

    I’m currently taking a breather 😳

Also the smell of the dirty water that came out of the hose nearly knocked me out! I’m beginning to think for my health i’d be better off just binning it and buying a new one.
