    Re: Admiral over cooling

    Ive had a look at the FAQ here and im sure that it isn’t any of the following;

    • Door seal/s faulty or not sealing allowing air ingress
    • Evaporator door (icebox fridges) not sealing correctly
    • Insulation failure

    I put a glass of water in the fridge last night to measure the temperature. After I smashed through the frozen top, the temperature was about 0.5 degrees.

    Can some one tell me how I can test if the fault is;
    • Thermostat faulty
    • Blockage in gas system (can cause an ice-ball)

    Well I didnt go to the Admiralty, but I do have a shiny new FF.

    I just took a risk and ordered it in the end – and are VERY pleased with it now. Definatly recommend one.

    Came in at £900 minus £40 cashback from quidco.com.

    Re: Where can I buy a cold fill extension hose?

    Thanks for the help guys.

    Just to let anyone else with a similar problem know that this is a very simple procedure.

    I brought 10m of hose from B&Q, cut it down to size and fitted the ends. Not too difficult at all. It leaked at first so I tightened the end connectors that I fitted with a screwdriver and then used some pliers to tighten the connections and it all worked ok.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

    However I need much more than 2,5 metres. I already bought a 2.5m pipe, but then realised that i couldnt fit the splitter on the washing machine cold water fill and would have to use the dishwasher one.

    Does anywhere sell a 4-5m one? Or is there some way to attach two 2.5m ones together?

    So might as well just buy a new job then.
    There is a brand new one on their site for £100.

    or,
    Just try and give it a good clean! Might be a better option.
    Thanks for your feedback.

    Thanks for the replies.
    However Currys dont stock the model I want, the SAL224 Black with silver handles. Ive used the store locator and it comes up with 247 appliances and House of Fraiser, who also dont stock this model.

    Thanks for the positive comments Burns, makes me want one even more. Looks like I will just have to order one with out seeing it.

    Jon
