Yes it did come with a 10 year guarantee however for some reason I was paying Domestic and General £4 a month which I cancelled last year. That seems like an argument I need to have with them. Im sure that they’ll come up with some baloney as to why it’s invalid now!!
To be fair I did think that it may be the door lock. I gave it a good shove last night to make sure it shut properly and it sent the control panel nuts as though someone was turning the program dial. It was flashing through the different programs like disco lights and stopped when I turned it off.
Have you come across that before?
Hmmm… well nothing seems to be working now! I tried to give your suggestion a go but not getting any response! The panel lights up as normal as you switch through the different programs but the buttons are just not responding… it’s as if it’s laughing at me 😡
Right… So I did what you said and disconnected the heater and motor and didn’t trip. I checked continuity on both and they seemed OK. I reconnected the motor, still no trip and then the heater… Ah, there lies the problem it seems. No sooner had I done that, one flick of the switch at the socket and everything goes off.
Safe to say I need a new heater element?
