Excellent, thanks. I’ve sent the shop an e-mail to see if they can get hold of it for me.

    Thanks.

as for the insulation fault, it’s unrepairable i’m afraid. it just means that water in the drain hose is freezing up because of an insulation breakdown between the hose and some pipework.
if it had been there from the start, surely you would have noticed the water in your fridge before now?

Thanks for the help. The water only started accumulating in the fridge in the last few months so I guess it’s only just failed.

I’ve cancelled my order for a new F/F for now as I had to cancel quickly before they gave me a delivery date.

With a bit of luck it might work for a few more months and give me a bit more time to save up for a new one!

    Thanks.

    this happens about 10-12″ down.

you’d be better off with your new fridge then 😥

you’ll see the drain hole block up again when the fridge has been on again for a couple of days.

    cheers.

Thanks. I assume this isn’t something that can be fixed easily? What would cause an insulation fault? It sounds as though it is something that would have been faulty from day one.

    Thanks.

    Thanks.

    Re: Hotpoint RLAV21 too warm

Thanks – I guess that is pretty terminal?

One thing I forgot to mention, the compressor is very hot, too hot to touch – does that indicate a fault?

    Thanks.
