Re: No Spin on Servis M9713

    Yup, that’s her working again.

Couple of small issues (I’ve managed to shaft the waste water hose, slight clicking when the drum is rotating clockwise and the occasional “grumble” from the water pump (when clearing the water it sometimes makes a noise similar to an upright hoover when you run over something that sticks in the brushes, lasts about a second but still seems to work fine – I figure something has made it past the filter and into the pump, and will either clear or break the pump, I’ll deal with that if it happens)) but otherwise is working pretty well, just finished a mid sized load of tea towels and socks – even dried them pretty well after I followed the advice about resetting the thermostat. So all is now well.

Thanks again to everyone who has helped me on here, money’s been tight and I certainly couldn’t have got this fixed by an engineer for the £24.99 I spent on a new module. Should anyone ever require advice about either computers or subaru legacy’s (about the only things I’m qualified to give advice on – apart from 20th century Russian and Soviet history) don’t hesitate to drop me a message.

    Thanks again,
    Nick.

Ah hah, looks like I pulled the little pipe off without noticing when I was fitting the new module – hopefully that should sort it. I took the opportunity to disassemble the soapy powder tray and clean it, as it was pretty manky. Don’t know for sure if it’s fixed yet (I’ve only got a precision screwdriver for some reason, screws take ages!) but I’m pretty sure it will be.
    😀
Thank you very much for that, it’s going to be pretty good to be able to do my washing at home for the first time in 2 months – I’ve been operating a three sets of clothes rotation policy to save dragging great bloody bags out to my parents house every week.

    Thanks again.
    Nick.

Re: No Spin on Servis M9713

    Hello again.
Thanks to everybody who left advice for me, today I recieved a new module, plugged it in and voila! we now have spinning! Unfortunately, the machine now doesn’t seem to know when to stop filling up with water, it practically filled up completely at the start of the wash cycle, so I skipped past it to the spins to drain it. It does the same thing at rinses, just keeps pumping water in there until I get nervous about the door being forced open and push it forward to the spins.

    Anybody have any ideas?

    Thanks again,
    Nick.

Re: No Spin on Servis M9713

    Cheers folks.

I’ll have a go at getting the old module out tommorow, see if I can find anything obviously fecked about it. I have checked the filter, it’s clear. To be totally fair to the machine, it always washes quite well anyway, and I can take some solace in the fact that I didn’t buy it, just inherited it. Will try to manually reset the thermostat too, when I say it’s bad at drying I’m talking about it often being unable to dry a pair of shorts, a t-shirt and some socks in an hour and a half at 70 degrees C. The clothes come out really hot, but soaking wet.

    Thanks again.
    Nick.
