Re: Smartdrive 085 fails to go into spin cycle

A huge thanks guys, it was indeed two wires touching in the stator. There were a couple of tiny corroded spots where the wires were touching. I put a bit of electrical tape around the top one to insulate it, put everything back together, measured ~12.5 Ohms between each winding.

A small test it spun up, it’s now doing a full load.

    Again, massive thanks guys.

Does anyone have the service manual for this model? If someone has a paper copy I’d be happy to pay for photocopying/postage, and to digitise it.

Thanks. I’ll have a go over the weekend and report back.

Where should I look for rubbing wires?

Inside the Stator or the wiring loom?

How do I open the Stator (I don’t want to break it, so I’d rather ask first)

    Red/Blue 7.4 Ohms
    Red/Yellow 11.5 Ohms
    Yellow/Blue 11.5 Ohms

That’s the plug I measured on.
