ParticipantRe: Hotpoint TVF760P
Mate he was Hotpoint engineer i stood and watched him the entire hour he was here , it had flashed f10 fault a day or two before then went to f03 i had read up about the thermister and mentioned this too him and he blanked me, he changed heating element, thermostats and put a new motor in, turned it on and within 10 seconds f03 back up so he had to “phone a friend” he checked for the part and said it could not be fixed as the part is obsolete ! I did not pay for the motor or anything as it was covered by warranty but they will not issue a replacement but will refund me the price i paid for the warranty in full. So i might as well by the part and do it myself i know i have to take the front of the dryer off and that it is located under the drum i believe but will give it a shot for £17 !!
Thanks so much for clearing that up for me !! -
