ParticipantRe: whirlpool adp 4501/5 – 6 flashes
penguin,
YOU ARE A STAR 😀
Its all working, the appliance has sat in my kitchen unused for over 9 months now,(we didn’t know about this site and couldn’t afford an engineer visit!) and with your advice we fixed it in under 10 minutes!!
I hope the washing machine heating element will be as straightforward!
If ever you are in Norfolk – please let us by you a drink or 3!

ParticipantRe: whirlpool adp 4501/5 – 6 flashes
Hello again,
THANK you so far….
We have located the pump the attached electronic Heat sink was very warm, when removing the unit it was clean BUT a large flat stone – was in between the propeller blades – it measures approx 15mm by 20mm by 3mm thick! How did that get in there??
So we have removed it and are trying it again – will let you know (keep your fingers crossed!!)
Thanks

ParticipantRe: whirlpool adp 4501/5 – 6 flashes
hi there,
it was 6 flashing lights but that was beacuse it wasn’t plumbed in – so we plumbed in back in and now its 4 flashing lights, but it is full of water, and doesn’t appear to have drained any water away.
Sorry to have explained it badly 😳
Shall I still check the black grill mentioned in your previous reply?
Sorry to be a pain

hello Nige,
Think you are right as on a cold wash its just completed the cycle, I have looked at the spare part bit on this board, do you know is it an easy job or is an engineer better?
