as far as glue is concerned look at araldite but not the rapid. you will need to secure it in the correct place while it cures and i find a bit of heat helps to set it properly
it will take heat with no problems as my dad used to put it in an oven to cure it and it can stand all sorts of corrosives with no problem

Thanks. Definitely can’t spot weld and dont want to risk punching through the back wall and introducing some other issue as you said.
Have you any thoughts on using cold weld (like JB Weld Original Cold Weld) or some other adhesive?
Some guy mentions Loctite 316 which I just found mentioned here https://www.justanswer.com/appliance/alp0i-customer-bosch-dishwasher-mod-no.html ?
