Nearly forgot, I can’t recall the drum bearings ever being replaced. The flat is a holiday home(my pension) so the machine has probably only been used 200 times max during its lifetime. It’s possible that my family who sometimes stay there may have had trouble with it without me knowing and had them done but I can’t be certain. Cheers

Hi Penguin45, apologies it’s taken so long to post a reply but I’ve only just come back from holiday! Anyhow, many thanks for your reply considering my ignorance of the forum rules. I’ll make sure I pay attention to them for all future posts. The Hotpoint iadom referred to had to go as I didn’t have a water supply in the garage of my new house at the time so couldn’t use the dryer unfortunately. I’m starting to think that I should have kept it in case I can’t get the Creda to work in my other flat. I’ve just arrived at it actually and taken the lid off the creda and looked at the wiring again and am still a bit unsure as to how to connect the new mains suppressor following your advice. There is one Live (brown) and one Neutral (blue) wire coming out of the back left mains connection point and then to the right running along the top perimeter of the machine I’ve got two neutral wires (blue) (these can be slotted together using the metal clip on the end of the wire) and then one Live (brown) wire. Am I right in saying that the Live (brown) wire from the incoming power supply point should be connected to number 1 on the new mains suppressor with the perimeter Live(brown) wire connected to number 2? Then Neutral (blue) on the incoming power supply point connected to 3 and the final two Neutral. perimeter wires(slotted together) connected to 4? Any further advice you can shed on this would be much appreciated!
    Many thanks in advance

    helo_75- thanks for the reply.

I presume you mean the oven light on the front of the cooker. If so, yes it comes on.

Thanks for the super fast replies. Much appreciated.

Looks like I’ll need to get a condenser then or pay for some plumbing to be put into the garage.

    Thanks again- Great Forum! 🙂
