Thanks Dave, yes 211 is the switch , and P040754 Is the part number I had been given, so I think maybe the EGO number stamped on old one has just changed, this must be the correct part.

Re: Has anyone actually bought T111 exemption for refurbishi

yeah it certainly makes you wonder ,but then do they have the t11 and do they actually need it?
if they are selling the machines ,they don’t need a t11 ,if they are buying in raw machines to recondition then they need a t11 ,as far as I’ve been told.
even then ,its a minefield ,if you read the official rules, you can collect a machine off a customer who wants rid of the machine but does not think it is beyond repair,so therefore at no time is it waste!
if however someone asks you to scrap a machine as its beyond repair then you need a t11!!!

What a minefield this is going to be. 🙂

Hi Mike ,I’m afraid I still have my 129 sitting in the shop looking sad and unwanted lol/
I haven’t gone any further on it yet to be honest ,but i am convinced it is the tacho ,mines was basically starting and stopping at certain points too,but also coincided with no spin too,so if yours is similar I would go with the tacho.hope it helps,oh and its well worth getting a copy of the manual that Bob is kindly offering as it does give some good info on the machine.

    Re: Hotpoint aqualtis aqxxl129pm uk

Thx hotdog ,I tried it again today and again the main fault is no motor action,I waited till it flashed all the lights along with led 2 ,which according to the manual is the motor blocked/or tacho fault.
I took the motor off and tested ,this time using the proper manual readings as a guide, the windings were all okay on 3.5 ohms, the protector was okay, however I got a reading of 110 ohms through the tacho, according to the manual it should read 170 ohms!
Does anyone know for certain that this is the proper readings they have listed or was there several motors that possibly vary in tacho readings?

Also ,if this is the likely fault ,is it likely changing the tacho generator as opposed to the whole motor ,be enough to cure it?

    Thanks

    Re: Hotpoint aqualtis aqxxl129pm uk

In an update to this,I now know that the symptoms are put the machine to either wash or spin, the machine does not run properly,it only stop starts about every 20 seconds ,ie the pump start -stops it does this for a while then flashes all the lights ,probably as its realised it has timed out,I assume.
There appears to be no motor action at all,as when it does fill at the beginning ,it doesn’t rotate the drum after it has filled.
The strange part is ,when put to the drain only cycle it starts the pump and the pump runs normally ,emptying the water from machine.
I have checked the pump, heater element and motor ,all appear to be giving the proper readings.
I also checked the display module inside door and could see nothing obvious there.
The main control board ,I took out and checked visually for any obvious burns,or dry joints but could see nothing.
Any help would be much appreciated,is there any aqualtis help on here ,in the shape of typical fault symptoms etc,and what is the info I read about on another thread please?

    Thanks

Well for what its worth from my point of view, looked at logically proctor and gamble don’t make soda crystals!!therefore would hardly advise anyone to use it instead of their own products.

both myself and my mate work on loads of machines which are cleaned with soda crystals and they are in good order for something which doesn’t work, bearing in mind colchester is a very hard water area.

    each to their own thoughts.

Re: SOLE/SMEG MOTOR CAN YOU HELP.

thanks for that brian,I don’t suppose you know if any of the sole zanussi or whirlpool motors cross reference to the same motor,as they appear to be a lot cheaper around 50-60 pounds most of them.
    thanks again brian
