*EDIT*
Its fixed – hurrah! 😀 It was just the red button needed depressing AND the timer needed setting – once this was done the beast powered back up, if you ever need to try it yourself then please be carefull taking the back casing off as on mine it was quite tight to the gas lead.
*EDIT*
Ok, after a little investigation I found the little red button on the unit that the fan attaches too needed to be pressed – low and behold I now have a display but no gas coming through. The light does not come on either.
After tracing the wires with a fluke, I have traced the failure to the box at the back of the cooker – its a Kigass Electronics – SN: 026367 / Model D9805/1 which also has in text – Reig1 output Reig 2, L1L2
This box can be taken apart but it is tight and I dont think there is anything inside (it has no fuse ratings either) which I can replace/fiddle with to cure it (is there?) Therefore I believe it will need to be replaced – where are the best places to look for one and does anyone know the actual componant name I can look for?

Thanks for the reply.
No the grill does not work, there is no display on the clock/timer either so I didn’t know if there was some secret fuse inside (kinda hoping so I wouldn’t have to call someone out) I’ll be looking for an engineer then! 🙂
