    Hi Dave,

That’s an approach I hadn’t thought of repairing the PCB. I will get in touch with these folks and see if they can help and it’s a more cost effective option with their guarantee, great find that much appreciated.

    Hi Dave ,

Thanks for pointing that out, I spoke to Indesit spares on the phone who were prepared to sell me a new PCB, smart card reader and card for £375. Way outta my budget, but it got me thinking can I reprogram the PCB I have already? If they will sell the card with my correct program on it and I had a card reader. There’s a fella near me that says he can do it but I’d want to be sure it can be done first.
    Cheers.

    Hi Dave,
Thanks for your earlier responses, yep we checked to see if it was registered and conveniently our details were not found. I can’t swear we did or didn’t either way, so there you go. I have sourced a replacement board ( used ) which powers the machine on but does none of the programmes. It will fill and empty that’s about it. I guess my query is will a used PCB need reprogramming like a new one would or is it possible to interchange PCBs between machines?
    thanks in advance.

    Hi Dave,

I think this machine is about 4 years old, took the board out this morning to get a better look at it lost of rust residue on the board, cleaned it off and gave it another try but no luck. Two relays on the board looked a bit darkened not sure what that means.
    All the best Sean

    Hi Dave,
Thanks for the comments. I checked the ribbons and they seemed fine, also it had stopped powering on before I replaced the tub, but the main board still has rust residue over it. I’m thinking Is there any way to identify what part has gone and get a replacement part or complete board. What are your thoughts on used eBay replacement parts?
    thanks for the help.
    Sean
