I did look at that part when I had the motor off to see if thats why it was making the noise but they all seemed to be the same height with nothing obviously wrong with it.

It is the same both when loaded and when its unloaded.

I took the motor off again yesterday and when you spin it the carbon brushes seem to be catching as the rotor turns and it makes like a loud ticking noise. I thought it sounded louder than normal when the machine was running. Do you think the motor is goosed?

I’m not likely to stick my fingers in unless its been unplugged for 10 mins at least.
