Re: Rosieres RBC 127 RU Pyrolytic oven setting

I don’t know whether I should start a new thread for this question, so please let me know.

I have never used the 4.5kw burner with either the hot plate or griddle. When I use it like this, should I take out the burner spacer?

Yesterday, I tried to use the hot plate and left the burner spacer on. However, the carbon monoxide alarm in my kitchen went off! When I take the burner spacer out, the flame goes out after a short while. (There is gas in the bottle being used.)

I have the user manual, but it is not clear on this point.
    Thank you for your help.

The fan motor was replaced yesterday.
This model doesn’t have a fan element.
    🙂

Update: I have just tried the Pyrolytic setting again.
The fan is not spinning, but the oven is heating.
It has taken an hour for the thermostat light to go out.
The oven door is hot: I can see the top element is red hot and have opened the warming drawer to check that the bottom of the oven is burning hot as well (just a slight touch needed to verify this) 😳
Therefore, I believe that my cooker is working to full capacity for the first time in ages. 🙂
