ParticipantRe: Hotpoint TDC62p partially heating up
Tim, Iadom,
Thanks both, it’s sorted. Pulled a few handfuls of fluff from beneath the filter that was blocking the path to the condenser, and that’s cured it.
Many thanks for your help.

iadom,
I’ve located the stat, undone the two screws and felt some resistance as I pulled on it. Stopped just in case i made the situation worse. Can you advise ? does it just pull out, do I have to get at it from above?
Cheers

Thanks for the reply, when you say it’s located inside the door opening, is this just under the control panel? inside or out?
Many thanks

As a far as I can tell it only partially heats up on the timed settings.
I understand the element does not get as hot when operating under the timer, but still cloths are left damp at the end of the cycle.
I’ve read posts that refer to a ‘ front sensor’ and a motor only out putting 110v. Could you advise where I’ll find the front sensor, and whether this could be a likely cause, as for the motor operating at 110v, what do I check? will this cause a similar fault?
Thanks in advance.
