Its a hot point aquarius wml720 its used once/twice a day has been for the last 2 year or more and sometimes just on a quick wash if the washings not to dirty. It doesnt seem like its taking any longer than it usually does on a cycle. Ive had the same washing machine for just over 2 years now and the excessive electricity started about 6-7 month ago and my bill has trebled just on the electricity.

Yes martin that is what the electrician plugged into the washing machine and all the other appliances in the house and he said it was the washing machine that was causing the excessive energy use. We stopped using it and monitored how much kw/hr usage we were using and it was a lot less than when we were using it, should i just buy a new one?
