Re: Problems with drive on Hotpoint WMA 32

I finally gave up the ghost and ordered a new Bosch machine today

My guess is the bearings aren’t as sound as I thought they might
    :rolls:

Thanks for the help – this is a top notch web site

    🙁

I got the belt, I put it on, it still pulls to the middle (ie. the front of the washer), and would surely come straight off if I powered it up

It feels as if the wheel/pulley at the motor end of the the belt could do to be a few millimetres further out towards the back of the washer – is this adjustable at all ?

    Jim.

    Already ordered it

Any tips on getting it on – I’m guessing little end first and work it round by hand

If you hold top and bottom of drum pulley is there movement, because it sounds as if your bearings are shot which will make the drum tilt foreward so that the belt will allways move to front of pulley.

No there seems to be hardly any play on this

    Power off for safety sake

I forgot to do this yesterday – very easy to forgot when it’s left switched on all the time

Thanks, I suspect that you’re right – How do I get to the base plate on a built in dishwasher ?
